Lions!
It's so odd.. I had a terrifying dream that I was being stalked by a Lion a few nights ago. I remember that we were swimming in the lake and there were 4 of us. I asked the lion which one it was waiting for, and he pointed to Peter. I have no idea who Peter is...Then it turns out that Peter was dead floating in the lake, so I pushed him forwards as an offering, and as he ate him, we made our escape. Then I called the Lion Aslan. O_o I haven't even seen the movie yet! I did read the books but didn't like them. Anyway, I was reading yahoo, and this pops up:

Wait til I tell them at work! I was totally freaking out about the dream and now it's a reality in Africa.

Y'know, when I started reading this I was thinking Narnia... You know that Peter is the oldest of the four children in the story? I loved those books when I was a child.

Scary to think of lions stalking people in their own homes.

:(

Even in my dream I was thinking, "Woah, NArnia!"

I didn't understand why Peter should be dead when Edmund was SO annoying. Dead in my dream I mean.

Anyhow, In Anthro, we learned that people in Africa are being displaced to make room for animal preserves. This is why there are like, 3 foraging tribes left in the whole world today, whih is ridiculous, since it's how humanity first survived.

As you can tell, I've never been an animal fan. Except for lions, which is really ironic...

Perhaps Peter gave his life in sacrifice to save the rest of you? Like Aslan does in 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe'...

Your Anthro sounds interesting. Have you thought about becoming a teacher when you're all qualified?

That's a thought, Liz! It could be. But why was I so willing to give teh lion the body? I mean, that's pretty crap of me!

I LOOOVEED Anthro. Still struggling if I want to take a Double major (Communications and Anthro or Marketing) or Just have Anthro as my Minor and forget Marketing. Grrr! BUt I definitely want to go to Oxford someday for a semester, prolly when I'm in grad school.

TEacher? Nah. I haven't the patience, and I get worked up a bit too easily.... LOL!

School starts tomorrow! I'm scared! ANd the Keane boards have been really shite lately.

Yes well, you didn't want Peter's sacrifice to be in vain now, did you? Heh. That's that sorted.

Best wishes for tomorrow!

It sounds like a horrible dream, even though

It sounds like a horrible dream. I loved the Narnia books (haven't seen the movie either), but Aslan always scared me somewhat. Thanks so much for the lovely card, by the way. Very artistic!

Scary when dreams and real life merge like that!

First thing I thought of was Narnia, too...the marketing people have obviously been very successful with both of us. I haven't seen the movie yet, and it must be 20 years since I read the books.

According to my dream book ( I keep it by my bedside so I can read about it in the mornings ) It says:
"To dream of a lion, signifies that a great force is dividing you. If you subdue the lion, you will be victorious in any engagement. If it overpowers you, then you will be open to the successfull attacks of enemies. To see a man conttrolling the lion in it's cage or out, denotes sucess in business and great mental power. You will be ferorably regarded by women. To hear the roar of a lion, signifies unexpected advancement and preferment with women. To see a lions head over you, showing his teeth by snarls, you are theatened with defeat in your upward rise for power. To see a lion's skin, denotes a rise to fortune and happiness. To ride one, denotes courage and pesistency in surmonding difficulties. To dream that you are defending your children or friends from a lion, foretells that enemies will threat to overpower you and you may overcome hard situations in your life and find new love."

I am getting my lj back. I miss posting!
See you soon!!!
